“Better tonight than tomorrow or never.” A promise, a philosophy of life, an invitation that smacks of swing, nostalgia and lightness. And it is precisely from this motto, taken from a little musical pearl by Miranda Martino from the Sixties, that the new summer show by Stefano De Martino kicks off, a multifaceted artist who returns to tread the Italian stages with an open-air version of his highly applauded “Meglio Stasera – Summer Tour”.

After more than one hundred sold-out winter performances in the most prestigious theaters, from Naples to Rome, De Martino now brings his “quasi-one man show” to summer theaters and arenas, with the energy of someone who knows how to put himself on the line – or rather, on stage – every night as if it were the first.

On August 31st, at 9 pm, on the stage of the Arena Fiera, we will discover it in many versions. There is the narrator, who tells with irony and heart his childhood in the South and his climb into the world of entertainment. There is the crooner, accompanied by the 8 musicians of the Disperata Erotica Band, capable of mixing songs, genres and tempos with class and irony. There is obviously the dancer, ready to return to the origins and challenge himself and his muscle memory, together with professional dancers.

And then there is the entertainer, the man from “Stasera tutto è possibile” and “Affari tuoi”, who alternates gags, improvisations, sketches, games with the audience and a repertoire that surprises with its intelligence, irony and – why not – depth.

A show that is anything but static. “Meglio Stasera” is a constantly evolving format, which updates, grows and is colored with new episodes, anecdotes and incursions into the (real) life of an artist who has now entered the hearts of the general public.
