Harvey Weinstein will remain behind bars for the rest of his life. The former Hollywood king was sentenced by a Los Angeles court to 16 years in prison who was living in Rome at the time and had come to the cinema mecca for a film festival in the days leading up to the Oscars. Over a hundred women have come out accusing the former producer of harassment and rape, who since 2017 has become the symbol of a culture of sexual harassment endemic in the halls of power, giving life to the #MeToo movement, but less than a dozen have managed to be heard by the judiciary.

Two of these in New York: Weinstein already has to serve a 23-year prison sentence after the first trial which ended in Manhattan in 2020.
