A beautiful story that began with the donation that took place last spring with the unanimous vote of the City Council. Yesterday evening the archaeological finds of the former honorary inspector of the Superintendency Carlo Desogus , of Selargius, arrived at the "L'Arca del Tempo" museum, taken over by the mayor Gigi Puddu. Also present is the same donor.

The archaeologist Giovanni Ugas illustrated the collection in front of the first visitors and guests who are passionate about archeology. These are 37 finds that Desogus's farmer-grandfather recovered at the beginning of the twentieth century by working the land on the border between the territories of Selargius and Settimo: all finds legally preserved over time by the Selargina family are now owned by the Municipality of Settimo. The collection is made up of 37 finds from the historical , protohistoric and prehistoric ages , ranging from the pre - nuragic culture of Bonnanaro to the nuragic , Etruscan and imperial Roman era . All exhibited since yesterday at the Museum on the occasion of the "Open Monuments" event, with visits up to this evening not only to the museum, but also to the parish church, the rural churches of San Giovanni and San Pietro, the monumental Case Dessy and Baldussi, the Ligas-Uda ethnographic museum and the Domus de Janas “S'acua e' is dolus”, entrance from Is Landireddus, strada San Marco.

Satisfaction was expressed by the mayor Gigi Puddu and by Carlo Desogus himself who was also deputy mayor and councilor in Selargius, honorary inspector of the Superintendence also for the territory of Settimo. Many thanks went to him. «The finds – said Desogus – must be accessible to all because they represent our past. Now they are part of the cultural heritage of the Municipality of Settimo, but everyone will be able to admire them in the future. This is my will."

The students of the Comprehensive Institute, the members of the patronal committees, the Pro Loco will be in the morning and afternoon until 20 in the various sites to act as guides to the visitors.
