This week, Monastir will formalize its transformation from an Amateur Sports Association to an Amateur Sports Society before a notary. This represents the final bureaucratic step in the reorganization process that began months ago with the acquisition of Football Club Holding. Once the agreement is signed, contracts can be finalized, organizational charts can be finalized, and the new club's operational structure can be fully operational.

Among the first appointments expected after the establishment of the SSD is that of general secretary: Federico Russu, already well-established in the Sardinian professional football scene thanks to his experience at Olbia, is in pole position. This choice, if confirmed, would bring administrative expertise and local knowledge to Monastir.

Bureaucracy isn't stopping the work of sporting director Matteo Zanda, whose confirmation has never been in question. He's already fully operational on the transfer market and is moving with his usual concreteness on multiple fronts: from confirming players to evaluating new talents needed to complete the squad.

Marcello Angheleddu's confirmation as coach deserves further emphasis. His continued tenure was far from guaranteed. In recent weeks, the coach has received concrete contact from sporting directors at major clubs outside Sardinia. These requests demonstrate, if further confirmation were needed, how much his work has been observed and appreciated far beyond the island's borders.

Angheleddu chose to stay, and that decision is as good as a win. On the bench, he demonstrated rare qualities: the ability to read games, motivate the team in difficult moments, and make the most of every single player in the squad.
