A fiery first half, followed by a tense second half, but only because Bunino missed the penalty to secure the victory. The match ended 2-1 at the "Vanni Sanna" stadium against Atalanta Under 23. It may not be revenge for the 2025 playoffs, but it's certainly a crucial victory that validates the playoff ambitions of Greco's Rossoblu.
The first half was excellent, with Scotto sparking some spectacular moves. The first goal was a classic former striker: Berto headed in a header in the 15th minute from a Zecca header. Captain Scotto delivered a masterful free kick in the 28th minute, curling it from the left into the far corner.
In the second half, Bergamo tried to be less dramatic and more incisive: in the 58th minute, Navarro's shot hit the crossbar and Levak headed it home, but FVS was shown to be offside. In the 67th minute, Misitano hit the woodwork. In the 77th minute, FVS was again on Torres' side: a penalty was awarded for pushing Antonelli in a scramble. Substitute Bunino took the penalty (Scotto was suffering from shoulder pain), but the shot was a "forecast." The missed penalty could prove costly after Atalanta U23 closed the gap in the 83rd minute following Zaccagno's mistimed exit, which allowed an opponent to act as a tower for Zanaboni's header. In stoppage time, Zaccagno made amends by denying Bonanomi's shot.
