Second at +2 from Carrarese, who perhaps has some remorse. Instead, Torres can only be proud of a historic second place, the highest position ever achieved in Serie C.

Now for the rossoblù a few days of rest, given that having gained pole position in the playoffs means missing the first two rounds of the group stage and the first round of the national stage. Barring changes to the calendar, the Sassari team will enter the competition on 21 and 25 May with a double clash involving the five winners of the first round of the national playoffs and the three runners-up, therefore Padova for group A, Torres for group B and Avellino for group group C. It would be enough to already evaluate the coat of arms of the other two vice-leaders to understand the extent of the feat accomplished by Alfonso Greco's rossoblù.

Also take a look at the third teams: Lanerossi Vicenza (another club that was in Serie A), Carrarese and Benevento. To these must be added Catania as winners of the Italian Cup. Many favorites for just one place in Serie B. Torres is the absolute surprise and wants to compete with a cheeky and ambitious spirit.
