The municipality of Sennori has decided to name the civic music school after the former city councilor and councilor, Gianpiero Pazzola .

“He was a true protagonist of the cultural, administrative and political life of the town - reads the motivation -: in the 70s, with the then mayor Tonino Mario Rubattu, he contributed to the establishment of the Proloco in Sennori; in 1996 he was appointed president of the San Giovanni Association; he was first elected City Councilor in April 1997; it was re-read in June 2006 and in the five-year mandate he was delegated by the then mayor Antonio Canu as councilor for sport and entertainment; he was founder and president of the Infant Jesus of Prague association; in 2007, thanks to his initiative, Sennori became part of the Music Schools circuit for the first time and the Sennori 'Sonos' Civic Music School was established in the village thanks also to the collaboration of some municipalities in the district; in 2009 he founded the Polyphonic Choir 'Città di Sennori'; in 2011 he was re-elected with the mayor Roberto Desini, and was councilor with responsibility for Culture and Entertainment, until 2013; in 2011 he was co-founder of the Città di Sennori band ”.

A civic school that is a real flagship of the center of Romangia . This year there are 130 students, who can count on an offer of nine classic courses, six modern courses and two group courses.

“The Civic School of Music is a reality that has been confirmed over the years thanks to the commitment of the administration. After the success of last year, with 120 students who attended the courses, this year we are happy to record a new enrollment record ”, declares Leonarda Casu , Councilor for Public Education and Music School.
