The Selargino wedding is back with all its extraordinary charm. Over sixty folk groups are ready to color the streets of the center and kick off celebrations in grand style.

After the restrictions due to Covid, the Selargino wedding restarts in all respects, with five days of events and the large food and wine village in the center of the city: "A format that allowed us three years ago to make the rite of Sa Coja a real celebration of all and to somehow return the event to citizenship. Because I am convinced that beyond the strictly religious aspect, every Selargino must feel like the protagonist of this unmissable event for our community ”, comments the mayor Gigi Concu .

This morning, in the church of San Giuliano, the usual conference for the presentation of the program, together with Martina Rundeddu and Samuele Zucca, very excited and ready to carry on the tradition.

DATES AND APPOINTMENTS - We start tomorrow , at 9 pm, with the dialectal comedy in Piazza Maria Vergine Assunta, and continue on Thursday, with the inauguration - at 10 - of the exhibition of local handicrafts in Piazza Si 'e Boi, passing through the unmissable stages of the ritual: Sa Cantada a is piciocas and Su transferimentu de is arrobas, accompanied by music, shows and events that will animate the territory until Sunday, when Martina and Samuele will swear eternal love by writing another indelible page of Selargina history.

"A return to normalcy in all respects", observes the historic and tireless president of the Pro Loco Gianni Frau : "After the detention of 2020 due to the pandemic and the reduced form of last year, we can finally give our spouses and all our fellow citizens five days of true celebration ”.

A celebration for everyone, as repeatedly reiterated by the mayor: "We have decided to give our traders the opportunity to exhibit their products outside their businesses, because we are convinced that Sa Coja can and should have important repercussions, including economic ones. , on the territory ”, observes the mayor.

At his side also the Deputy Mayor of Cagliari Giorgio Angius , testifying that events such as Sa Coja are certainly not limited to local borders but continue to give prestige to the metropolitan city and to the whole island.
