Dinamo had to finish at -16 before reacting, but the comeback stopped at -2 and Trento conquered the PalaSerradimigni: 81-84 the final score. The second defeat at home left Sassari far from the Final 8 of the Italian Cup, while Dolomiti Energia confirmed itself as the top of the Serie A with full points. In a game where Bibbins found courage and initiative in attack (20 points), Fobbs disappointed (6). Also noteworthy were the 14 points each from Cappelletti and Bendzius.

Dinamo starts with three triples (9-5) but Trento changes three players and with a 15-2 break turns the match around: 13-23 at 9' with 7 consecutive points from the playmaker Ford. Once the inertia is taken, the visiting team maintains it, also because it has much more variety of play than Sassari, which relies too much on the three-point shot and creates very few other solutions, even when it has two playmakers on the court: -13 at 15'. Bibbins takes matters into his own hands and with two triples halves the gap, but Banco really struggles too much: 38-46 at halftime.

Upon returning, the white-blue team tries to get closer but is pushed back by Lamb's bombs. It also ends at -16 and manages to limit the damage with Bibbins' individual initiatives.

In the last quarter the defense becomes more aggressive and the offense lives more on readings than on schemes: Banco comes back up to -3 with Bendzius and Renfro: 72-75 at 37'. The -2 is obtained by a sparkling Bibbins with the triple, but first Cale and then two free throws by Ford give Trento the +4. But there are only 15 seconds, there is not enough time.
