The U20 national team has won two and lost one at the European Championships being held in Greece. Their second-place finish earned them a spot in the round of 16 against Ireland, a match that will be played tomorrow at 4:30 PM.
Dinamo's Sassari point guard Stefano Trucchetti scored two points in a resounding 80-60 victory over Ukraine , achieved thanks to a resounding 27-5 start. From a personal standpoint, he had his best scoring performance against Germany, with five points. In that match, a final-quarter collapse proved fatal for the Italy Under-20 team, which went from a 9-point lead to a final 4-point deficit.
Iceland finished third in their group : they beat Slovenia but lost to Serbia and France.
