In the medieval church of the Capuchin friars of Sassari, which dominates the district of the same name from a square, one of the most evocative nativity scenes in the city was created by the faithful. Hundreds of perfectly integrated and illuminated statuettes, streams of water, mills and small promontories skilfully set in the Nativity scene.
A real work of art that is fascinating many visitors and onlookers, who come from all over Sassari but also from the towns of the province. The Cappuccini nativity scene has become a real attraction.
And to say that even in Sardinia for these holidays in some situations alternative nativity scenes (and even Santa Clauses) have been set up. Which species cause a stir at first. But Christmas and the holidays are mostly made up of traditions. And when beauty and a touch of magic are combined with the latter, success is guaranteed. As in Cappuccini, with its splendid crib.
