The renovated spaces now boast four hospital rooms with four beds, to which are added two more rooms with two beds, all with private bathrooms for patients. And then again, 11 other rooms for dressing, a warehouse, a refreshment room and bathrooms for the staff.

Yesterday, the patient transfer operations were completed from the west wing to the east wing of the sixth floor, the completely renovated one, a situation that has significantly improved the treatment environment and operational efficiency. This morning the official opening of the department, in the presence of the regional health councilor, Carlo Doria , the rector of Sassari, Gavino Mariotti , and the archbishop of Sassari Gian Franco Saba , who visited the hospitalized patients. «Today we are giving back to the citizens, not only of Sassari, but of the whole of Sardinia, a renovated and more efficient structure, in a department - says Doria - which is a point of reference for the whole island. The modernization of the Santissima Annunziata department is consistent with a policy that aims to create new hospital facilities, but which deems it essential to continue investing in existing hospitals in order to best guarantee assistance and treatment."
