The cultural and artistic world of Sassari mourns the passing of Carlo Antero Sanna . The photographer, passionate about the city's history and a cultural promoter, died this morning . Together with his sister, he directed the Centro d'Arte Ulisse on Corso Pascoli, an exhibition space dedicated to art exhibitions and meetings, often contemporary.
A student of Stanis Dessy, Carlo Antero Sanna collaborated with the painter Liliana Cano. His photographs depict the history of Sassari, with particular attention to the Gremi and Candelieri , as was the case with the beautiful exhibition two years ago featuring photographs of Faradda from the 1980s, hosted at the Pinacoteca Nazionale, which was so successful it was extended for a few weeks.
Among his initiatives are the design of several commemorative stamps and the collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts, which three months ago brought the students of the "Sironi" to exhibit their works at the Ulisse Art Center.
