Sassari, de Carolis concert body: the artistic director presents the new objectives

The Marialisa de Carolis concert organization is asking for more resources from the Region and in exchange offers more continuous programming in the Teatro Comunale of Sassari. This emerged this morning at the press conference in Palazzo Ducale to present the new artistic director, Alberto Gazale , an internationally renowned baritone from Sassari who won the 2014 International Opera Award, the Oscar of opera.
"We want to give new impetus to the activity of de Carolis and we have chosen a great artist from Sassari" explained the president Antonello Mattone.
For his part, Alberto Gazale said: «We don't want to be just distributors but also producers of shows. I will exploit the network of relationships and with the whole team of the institution we want to work harder to make the Theater and those who work there work not only for the opera-symphonic season and for prose but also with other shows that are of high artistic value" .
Mayor Nanni Campus announced that the parking lots (over 400 spaces) will finally be open for the opening of the opera season: "If there isn't an external manager, we'll manage it directly as a municipality."
