Manuella, the independent project by Sardinian artist Manuela Manca, was chosen among the 60 artists participating in the Live Auditions of the 37th edition of Musicultura, the festival of popular and singer-songwriter music. She was selected from 1,328 submissions.

Manuella will perform on the evening of March 20th at the Teatro Lauro Rossi in Macerata. The performances can be streamed live on Musicultura's Facebook and YouTube channels.

Manuela Manca is an alternative pop singer-songwriter with a hypnotic, visceral voice, originally from Budoni (Gallura). Her profile reads: "She transforms ancestral memories and ethnomusical roots into a contemporary sound characterized by synthetic and ethereal vocal layers, dark electronics, and suspended melodies. Her intense and immersive music creates sonic architectures of light and shadow, desire and tension. With every note, Manuella creates profound emotional spaces where sound becomes introspection, mystery, and pure magnetic energy."

The Live Auditions will select 16 finalist artistic projects , which will be presented in a double concert at the Persiani Theater in Recanati scheduled for next spring. At the same time, their songs will be included in the compilation CD of the 37th edition of Musicultura and will be picked up and broadcast by Rai Radio1 , the Festival's official radio station. Finally, eight winners will be selected by the unquestionable judgment of Musicultura's distinguished Artistic Committee .

The jury includes Claudio Baglioni, Carmen Consoli, Simone Cristicchi, Teresa De Sio, Cristina Donà, Giorgia, La Rappresentante di Lista, Ermal Meta, Piero Pelù, Vasco Rossi, Ron, Tosca and Roberto Vecchioni.
