Inspired by cult classics like South Park and Rick & Morty, the sitcom uses the language of animation to explore toxic and grotesque yet incredibly realistic relationship dynamics. Titled " Arturo & Teresa ," the new animated sitcom for adults by Fry J. Apocaloso debuts Friday, March 27th at 7 p.m. at the Cityplex Moderno in Sassari, with a preview screening of the first two episodes.
Already known for his high-impact works such as “Preti in Mano”, “Rikkardo's Tales” and the music videos for Elio e le Storie Tese, the multifaceted director from Sassari this time wanted to provoke the public with 10 episodes that describe the "worst Italian couple": he is grumpy, insensitive and obsessed with football; she is docile, naive and far too accommodating.
"Arturo & Teresa doesn't promise to please everyone," Apocaloso states, "but it promises to leave no one indifferent." Produced entirely independently, the series relies on the collaboration of professionals such as Luca Tuveri (character design), Claudia Cocci (background), Erica Meloni (rigging), and Pier Piras (music).
The initiative is organized with the support of the Sardinia Film Festival, Abetone, Peko Neko and the collaboration of the Fondazione Sardegna Film Commission and Abetone Arti.
