Prosecutor Mauro Lavra has requested the indictment of an entrepreneur from Olbia, Giovannino Altana, for an accident at work (15 September 2022) which cost the life of a 50-year-old Senegalese worker .

The victim, according to investigations conducted by Spresal of Olbia (labour inspectors of the Local Health Authority) and by the Carabinieri of Porto Rotondo, fell from a height of almost ten metres . He was busy cleaning the roof of a building known as the former Bowling (all Olbia exit in the direction of Arzachena). The person accused is the owner of the structure.

Again according to the investigations of the Tempio Prosecutor's Office, the worker Assane Kane was not wearing a harness and also did not have an employment contract . The family members of the Senegalese worker have entrusted the mandate for the constitution of a civil party to the lawyers Giampaolo Murrighile and Gavino Calzoni. Assane Kane was hospitalized in Sassari and died after a month of agony. The owner of the former Olbia bowling club is assisted by the criminal lawyer Domenico Putzolu. The story of Assane Kane was at the center of the initiatives of the CGIL Fillea Gallura as an emblematic case of work without accident prevention measures.
