We will have to wait to be able to celebrate the funeral of Fernando Pintus, the 47-year-old worker, originally from Sant'Andrea Frius, who died on Thursday at the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari after being involved in a road accident on the State Road 387 near Dolianova .
The ceremony is unlikely to take place before Monday: it will take time for the man's wife to reach Sant'Andrea Frius from Vietnam, where she lives. A difficult journey, which also includes bureaucratic procedures at the embassy.
Fernando's parents, Carlo and Anna, live in Sant'Andrea Frius. They returned to live in their hometown a few years ago, as retirees, after having lived for decades in Sorbolo, in the province of Parma. Fernando had trained professionally in the Emilian city, becoming an appreciated welder and working for some important metalworking companies in the sector: he had married his first wife, about twenty years ago, the sister of a colleague. After that marriage ended, he met his current wife in Vietnam. The worker also leaves behind two sisters, Ilaria and Melania.
