New extraordinary maintenance work is underway along the Coghinas 2 aqueduct , which supplies raw water to the Abbanoa water treatment plants in Truncu Reale and Castelsardo . Castelsardo, the only municipality to experience major disruptions on Wednesday, February 18, is undergoing work by Enas. The work, which will last 24 hours, will result in the suspension of water supplies from the Coghinas aqueduct. For the Sassari plant, this will be compensated by the activation of alternative supply lines from the Cuga reservoir and the Crucca traversa, as provided for in the memorandum of understanding between Enas, Abbanoa, and the Land Reclamation Consortium.

Therefore, no outages are expected in Sassari, Porto Torres, and Stintino, which are served by the Truncu Reale water purification plant. The only town that will remain without power, as there are no alternative supply lines, is Castelsardo, where water will be suspended from 6 a.m. Wednesday until noon on Thursday.

Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, a replacement service will be available, with roll-off tanks positioned in Piazza Grande and the Papillon parking lots in Lu Bagnu. Restoration of service may take approximately 2-3 hours, depending on the elevation of the utilities or whether they are served by terminal sections of the network. All necessary measures will be taken to limit disruptions.
