A “burned” halt, a daring chase, streets taken against traffic, a police car involved in an accident. Yesterday in Quartu it was a daring evening because of a twenty-two year old resident in the city.

The agents of a crew from the Abbasanta Crime Prevention Department on duty in Quartu had decided to stop his Mini (which later turned out to be stolen) for a check. Instead of slowing down, the young man pressed his foot on the tablet to escape.

The police car gave chase, while the fugitive performed dangerous maneuvers putting the safety of pedestrians and other motorists at risk.

While fleeing, the agents had an accident and had to give up the target. But the young man was stopped shortly after by a police car from the Quartu police station.

The driver has been identified: he did not have a licence. The vehicle, on the other hand, had been stolen a few hours earlier, also in Quartu. The boy was arrested for resistance, but also reported in a state of freedom for receiving stolen goods and accused of numerous infractions of the highway code.

After the very direct, celebrated this morning in the Court of Cagliari, the measure of house arrest was applied.
