«With Truzzu worked on greenery, like via Roma and viale Trieste, the Zedda Council forgets it»: there is controversy between Meloni (FdI) and Giua Marassi

"Something had already been intuited after some 'buck-passing' statements by the mayor: the Zedda Administration is affected by political strabismus". The criticism is from Corrado Meloni, regional councilor and provincial director of Fratelli d'Italia, who comments on the ranking of the "Urban Ecosystem" report, published by "Sole 24 Ore" and created by Legambiente and Ambiente Italia. "Two days ago, councilor Giua Marassi said how the responsibility for the increase in Tari was not hers because she took office in July. Today, however, she gloated on social media because Cagliari is in 24th place among the green capitals of Italy, making people imagine that she was an active part of this result: "We are on the right track". Too bad that in her post there is not a word about the previous administration that definitely contributed to this success , given that in 2019 Cagliari was in 45th place".

"In five years," Meloni recalls, " the Truzzu Council has worked hard on increasing green surfaces, on new plantings and on reducing impermeable soil: via Roma, viale Trieste and viale Buoncammino are also part of this project . Over 350,000 square meters of greenery have been redeveloped (160,000 in city greenery, 170,000 in school greenery, 20,000 in parks in previously inaccessible areas), 50 green areas and 48 school gardens have been redeveloped. 21 gardens and 17 dog areas have been created from scratch. 26 play areas have been restored and created (an average of four games per area, therefore over 100 new games). About 50,000 shrubs and trees have been planted in school gardens and some forestation interventions have been carried out."

" In this report Cagliari also obtains important recognitions for separate waste collection and public transport . It is a pity that the current administrators remember their predecessors only to attribute any type of responsibility to them. We are waiting for the application of the miracle recipes promised by Zedda and associates during the election campaign", concluded the representative of Fratelli d'Italia.
