Fabio Cuccu , a 37-year-old originally from Tempio Pausania , who was the victim of a frightening motorcycle accident on State Road 389, in the Ozieri area, did not make it.
The man, a resident of Corsica, died last night, after two days of hospitalization at the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari, where he had arrived in very serious condition.
According to an initial reconstruction of the incident, last Thursday Cuccu was riding his motorbike on the state road, but suddenly lost control. The two-wheeler thus went off the road and ended its race against a dry stone wall.
After the crash, the firefighters, the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Ozieri and the personnel of the 118, who had transported the injured man to Sassari with the ambulance, had intervened on the spot. But the doctors' attempts to save the 37-year-old were unfortunately in vain.
