" Inspections will be carried out to verify the dangerousness of this specimen ." This was stated by the mayor of La Maddalena, Fabio Lai , at the end of the technical table he called , held this morning in the town hall, with the National Park Authority, the Port Authority, the Municipal Police, the Forestry Corps and the Barracellare Company. The meeting was called to take stock of the situation and establish the measures to be taken after the attack by a wild boar on a child , on the beach, on the island of Spargi; a serious event, which has caused shock and alarm among citizens and tourists .
In the technical table, which was reconvened in two days, the hypothesis was taken into consideration and a study will be carried out for an intervention , if necessary, of demolition , even if the human presence is still strong both on land and at sea, which would evidently complicate the intervention .
"It is important to remember, however," said Mayor Lai, "that wild boars are wild animals and it is a crime to feed them ."
