Three people were arrested in Porto Torres, one for attempted robbery and extortion and two for mistreatment of children and family members, measures taken between January and February.

During the night between Saturday, February 7th and Sunday, February 8th, Carabinieri patrols, supported by the Operations Unit and the Mobile Radio Unit of the Porto Torres Company and the Sassari Anti-Adulteration Unit, were engaged in coordinated territorial control to combat administrative and criminal violations of jurisdictional premises and crimes in general.

Following a spate of thefts, eight of which targeted businesses in Porto Torres, police have stepped up their patrols to ensure public safety, maintain high levels of vigilance in the area, and prevent high-risk situations by intensifying police presence in high-traffic areas and locations.

The Carabinieri carried out inspections of four commercial establishments, imposing fines totaling €6,000,000 and ordering the destruction of 5 kg of food stored in a manner that did not comply with hygiene regulations. The violations involved the failure to implement or lack of HACCP self-monitoring procedures, poor hygiene practices in kitchens, and the failure to notify the competent health authority of certain required notifications. During the various inspections, 151 individuals were identified and 49 vehicles were inspected. Five individuals were issued administrative fines for possession of various types of narcotics. 4.1 grams of cocaine and three precision scales were found in one of the businesses inspected.
