Carabinieri from the Olbia territorial unit searched for her at her home in Li Pioni (Telti countryside), but Rossella Piras wasn't there . Then the woman (57, from Olbia) was seen on Wednesday in Cadrezzate, the town in the Varese area where her partner, Elia Del Grande, was arrested.

But was she really the one who helped the man after he escaped from the Castelfranco Emilia workhouse? Rossella Piras's name has been entered into the register of suspects by the Varese Prosecutor's Office , but the story of the escape of the man convicted for the "baker massacre" is yet to be written. In fact , another woman, from Lombardy, is said to have met and helped Del Grande after he was released from the workhouse . It's said she's an old acquaintance, in a small town in the Varese area.

So the women "under observation" could be two , like the ongoing investigations by the public prosecutors of Varese and Modena.

The alleged crime is aiding and abetting the failure to comply with security measures (to which Del Grande is subjected).
