The sirocco storm descended with fury on the various localities of the province, in particular in Sassari and Alghero, left behind a trail of uprooted signs, fallen trees, many of which on the cars, and roofs uncovered by buildings and sheds and gazebos. In the aftermath of the tornado we start with the damage count, but above all with the cutting of the branches, pieces of trees collapsed to the ground, on the roadside and uprooted by the force of the wind. Huge damage to Sassari in the Latte Dolce and Santa Maria districts of Pisa: uncovered roofs in via Colombo, a roof of a building of about two thousand square meters finished on the cars below and on the asphalt.

In Alghero, the fall of a large pine tree in the Bombarde pine forest held some bathers hostage until the arrival of the civil protection. At the “Riviera del corallo” airport of Fertilia the whirlwind overturned a Cessna ultralight. The Harbor Master's Office also had to intervene at sea to rescue some sailing boats engaged in a sailing competition in the Gulf of Alghero. In Porto Ferro the Coast Guard rescued two yachtsmen who had launched the Mayday due to marine conditions that prevented them from steering their boat. In various locations, from Sennori to Sorso and Olmedo, the fire brigade, barracellar company, Forestas, volunteers of the Misericordia of the civil protection nucleus, local police and forest guard are at work. Fortunately, the windstorm did not cause any injuries, but the damage reported is considerable.
