The latest serious episode occurred in the night between Monday and Tuesday when a man from Sassari made three trips by car to unload pieces of furniture, chairs, bags full of unsorted waste, boxes and even a bicycle . Precisely at the point where the following day there would be the mobile ecological island, like every Tuesday, made available by the municipal administration to deliver bulky items.
The cameras have recorded everything and now the man, a local from Sassari, will have to pay 500 euros for each "trip" . Not only that: he could also be charged for uncontrolled abandonment of waste, a conduct which has become a crime since the modification of the consolidated law environmental.
On the other hand, there are 11 people who will have to answer, in January alone, for "depositing waste on the ground", while there are 18 cases of those who, despite being served by door-to-door collection, have abandoned their waste in street bins.
