Exactly one month later, bulldozers are back at work restoring the raised ford over the Flumendosa, between Villaputzu and Muravera.   The work is scheduled for today, Friday, April 17, starting at 8:45 a.m. and will involve closing the ford until the work is completed, presumably around 5 p.m.

The company appointed by the Municipality of Villaputzu, tasked with repairing the track, intervened. The resources for maintenance were provided by the Region. According to the agreement between the Municipality and the Region, whenever potholes or unevenness develop, the Municipality appoints the company for emergency repairs. The agreement is valid for 36 months (it was signed at the end of 2024) and amounts to approximately €150,000. Numerous maintenance interventions have already been completed to date.

Meanwhile, the residents of Sarrabus are waiting to hear whether the second-ranked company will agree to replace the Favara-based company in the renovation of the iron bridge. The decision will be made in early May. The Sicilian company was removed from the Metropolitan City Council for "serious breaches" (approximately 9 percent of the work completed in just over two years). The Sicilian company will most likely appeal the Metropolitan City Council's decision.
