The former Valledoria official accused of embezzlement was sentenced to four years and one month . The figure was later recalculated by the deputy prosecutor Giovanni Porcheddu and arrived at the sum of 622 thousand euros .

According to the accusation, the 65-year-old took advantage of her dual role as treasurer and head of the economic-financial area to withdraw the money , without any justification, from the bank account in the municipality's name. Then he would have made payments from the municipality's Treasury account and carried out, as the prosecution claims, "accounting payment orders digitally signed by the same, all related to expenses unrelated to the economic-financial area".

The judge also ordered the payment of compensation of 300 thousand euros. The lawyer Gabriele Satta defended the accused while the municipal lawyer, who was a civil party, was Luca Sciaccaluga.
