Valledoria, cyclist hit by a car: air rescue intervenes

67-year-old cyclist hit by a car while passing by the entrance to the town of Valledoria.

The accident occurred this morning at 9am when the man, originally from the area, was walking along the road at the edge of the city centre.

The 118 health workers intervened immediately and entrusted him to the medical team of the Helicopter Rescue : the 67-year-old was then transported to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari.

The man suffered a head injury and a pelvic injury in the violent impact.

The Valledoria Carabinieri were also on site to ascertain any responsibilities.
