Going backwards, the growth appears even more significant: in the week from 22 to 28 November the administrations were in total 53,216 of which 44,514 boosters and 3,652 first doses, while in the period from 15 to 21 November the data recorded was 34,045 doses of which 25,875 third doses and 2,888 first doses.

As for the additional doses, 273 thousand doses were administered on the island, of which 226 thousand to the over 50 population (data updated to 12 December). Overall in Sardinia just under 2.8 million doses were administered and the island is among the top seven regions for the population that has completed the vaccination cycle: 78.7% against a national average of 77.4%. It remains the first region in Italy for young people aged 12-19 who have completed the vaccination cycle (78% against a national average of 71%). With regard to stocks, 6 thousand Pfizer doses are expected on Wednesday for the launch of the pediatric vaccination campaign , in addition to another 18 thousand doses currently scheduled for the first week of January.
