Among the many options for New Year's Eve, a good dose of Sardinian electronic music was definitely missing: but the Cagliari collective Basstation has taken care of remedying this with its evening " Odissey - New Year's Eve 2026 ", which will light up the Campidarte hangar (Ussana) tomorrow from 7 pm until the first light of dawn on New Year's Eve. With sets by local DJs Model Shape , Save Your Atoll , veteran Young and international guest Vera Logdanidi , the Ussana party will also include a social dinner and support for the security of the spaces .
The international guest
Logdanidi , a major star of the evening, began her career in Kiev in the mid-2000s, developing a versatile production style in the Ukrainian capital's vibrant scene . Releasing on renowned labels such as Semantica Records, On Board Music, and Konstrukt, and collaborating live with compatriot Na Nich, the DJ-producer frequently tours Europe with her captivating selections, having already appeared at genre temples such as Berghain, Panorama Bar, and Tresor, as well as festivals such as Draaimolen, Monument City, and Brave Factory.
Her style unravels eclectically between pounding techno, touches of deep house and ambient, and occasional syncopated dips between broken beat and jungle . A journey that is not only musical but also visual, with the Voices project (2022) presented at the Art House in Eindhoven and the 2024 collaboration with queer artist Bambi Benko , awarded the Dutch Brutus Prize. Logdanidi's activity also extends to the Kiev-based collective Rhythm Büro , of which she is co-founder, with which she created Natura Festival , the largest electronic music event in Ukraine, currently on hold due to the conflict. In addition to curating Kashtan radio, she teaches sound production for Skvot .
Sardinian artists
Model Shape , aka Nicola Barca and originally from Sulcis, began his career in 2008, immediately sharing the decks with some of the island's leading names. In 2010, he caught the wind of the German hard techno movement by forming the duo Barka & Taris , with which he gained international recognition before moving on to his new project, the name he uses today. A fully-fledged resident of Basstation, in recent years he has also dedicated himself to production with the labels Ovunqve and Systemconversion, cementing his sound between ambient and techno.
Save Your Atoll is the stage name of Antonello Meloni, who began his career in 2012 with the Spacedrome collective, based first in Rome and then Berlin. After releasing his debut albums on small labels, he won the British Knowledge Magazine contest with the song "Mimetic Wormhall," and began touring festivals and clubs across Europe, both as a solo artist and with the collective. After the Spacedrome experience, the Save Your Atoll project was born, in which he injected all the musical influences of his career, from drum 'n' bass to dubstep, from ambient to techno and dub.
Another highlight of the evening will be the incredible four-hour set by Andrea Young , a legendary name in the Sardinian synth scene since the 1990s. From the early days of Harder Times to his artistic growth over three decades, filled with selections, parties, and unforgettable mixes, Young will deliver a performance without restraints and without genre boundaries, ringing in the new year with unparalleled energy.
