Perhaps a misstep, perhaps a moment of distraction. Thus, this morning around 9:00 a.m., two donkeys fell to the bottom of a cliff in Tonara, in the "Toneri" area.

The alarm was raised by the animals' owner, who called for emergency assistance. A firefighter team from the Sorgono detachment arrived on the scene.

The two donkeys, stuck in the embankment, were unable to move independently. The rescue operations proved particularly complex due to the rugged nature of the area, but firefighters managed to rescue the animals and bring them back to a safe area. The donkeys were subsequently handed over to the veterinary staff who arrived on site for assessment.
