A kinematic report prepared by the Cagliari Public Prosecutor's Office may be used to shed light on the fatal accident that took place last Sunday in Monserrato and cost the life of Mihaela Nuta Stan, a 48-year-old Romanian caregiver who was run over and killed by a van whose driver is now under investigation for street murder.

The body, barring bureaucratic hitches, will leave tomorrow for Brasov, in Transylvania, the victim's place of origin. Meanwhile, his family members ask for clarification.

Mihaela had lived in Sardinia since 2011 and looked after the elderly and people in need of assistance.

On the night of the accident, the woman was walking on State 387, in the space reserved for pedestrians and on the right side of the carriageway. Around 11.15 pm, for reasons to be clarified, a Fiat Ducato driven by a 55-year-old from Dolianova hit her and hit her on the head. Studio 3A-Valore, which assists the family, underlines that it is to be ascertained whether it was with the rear-view mirror or with the vehicle pillar. The caregiver fell to the ground with a very serious head injury and died almost immediately, the rescue and resuscitation attempts were useless, a drama that took place under the eyes of her sister, who had arrived on the spot.

The driver stopped to give first aid.

The prosecutor did not order the autopsy, it being clear that the death was exclusively linked to the investment and signed the authorization for the burial.

The deputy prosecutor, on the other hand, decided to carry out unrepeatable investigations to accurately reconstruct the dynamics, causes and responsibilities.

Mihaela leaves her husband and two children.
