A comprehensive investigation to reconstruct the dynamics of a horrific tragedy . Carabinieri officers from the Dolianova Company's mobile radio unit are reportedly closing the investigation into the cause of death of Andrea Casula, 49, who died in a horrific accident on Saturday night on State Road 387, in the Soleminis area. A factory worker originally from Dolianova, Casula lived and worked in Serdiana.

The investigation

There are two hypotheses. The man may have died instantly, in the collision between his Fiat Cinquecento and the off-road vehicle carrying the two injured people, who were taken to the hospital shortly afterward. Or, having survived the impact, he was unable to escape and was killed by the fire sparked by the accident.

The two vehicles collided head-on due to a lane invasion on a dark and very treacherous road.

The conditions of the injured appeared reassuring. However, the two were held for medical checks. They suffered minor injuries, including bruises and contusions.
