The body of Cirillo Andrea Lai , the 49-year-old tyre dealer from Quartu , who was killed last night on the new roundabout on state road 387, near Serdiana, has been returned to his family for the funeral.
The Carabinieri of the Dolianova Mobile Radio Unit also completed their legal investigations, and in the following hours they also submitted a report to the Public Prosecutor's Office.
A terrible accident: Lai was riding the highway toward Cagliari when he suddenly struck a Suzuki Giesse X on the roundabout with his motorcycle, which flew into the guard rail and then caught fire . The motorcyclist ended up on the roadway, and rescue efforts were unsuccessful.
The accident apparently occurred without witnesses. The investigation continued into the night, with the road temporarily closed to traffic.
