Investigations continue to reconstruct the dynamics and motive of the murder and attempted femicide committed yesterday morning between Solanas and Margine Rosso by Alessandro Pintus , a 39-year-old bricklayer.

The man shot his wife Michela Rubiu , 47, seriously wounding her, and then killed her brother, Andrea Pintus , 42. The 39-year-old later reported to the Carabinieri station and was taken to prison . The woman, however, is hospitalized in intensive care in very serious condition.

Friends and relatives are grieving: "It shouldn't have ended like this." Social media is full of images of happy, loved ones. Meanwhile, investigators continue to work to understand the motive. During initial questioning, Pintus exercised his right to remain silent . Perhaps before the investigating judge, the 39-year-old will explain why he grabbed his legally held gun and attempted to kill his wife and brother.
