Tragedy in Orune: car falls into a ravine, one dead

Dramatic accident this evening in Orune, where a car fell into a deep and steep slope, not far from the Carabinieri barracks. A person lost his life in the impact, whose body was recovered by the firefighters with the help of the Saf (Speleo Alpino Fluviale) team, specialized in interventions in rough environments.

The rescue operations were particularly complex due to the conformation of the terrain: the slope where the vehicle fell made access and recovery of the body difficult.

On site, in addition to the firefighters, the Carabinieri of the local station and the 118 personnel intervened. The police are working to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident.
