Peacefully strolling on the pink beach of Budelli , in violation of the absolute ban on access to the beach established to preserve the fragile ecosystem of what is a “symbolic” place of the island, made somehow romantic by the story of its former “guardian” Mauro Morandi.

There were six of them, all foreign tourists, this morning . Following a report from a tour operator, the Guardia di Finanza responded to the scene along with staff from the La Maddalena Archipelago National Park Authority.

A Park Authority dinghy immediately reached the area, ordering the tourists to leave immediately. Then , after locating the catamaran on which they were staying, the Guardia di Finanza identified them and reported the violation, fining them €300 each .

"Those who choose to ignore the rules not only put a unique heritage at risk, but also disrespect the entire community that protects it," explains the Park Authority. "Respecting the rules is the only way to ensure the preservation of places as precious as they are fragile, like the Pink Beach."
