Tortolì and his best youth finally have new spaces in which to play safely and train. The diocesan oratory Amoris Laetitia was inaugurated this evening, adjacent to the Caritas spaces. A large white and light blue building with large playing fields outside for all disciplines. Inside a gym, rooms for music, percussion, games and workshops. It will be open all year round and the summer oratory will start from today until 31 July for children aged 6 and over. The ceremony was attended by bishop Antonello Mura, the regional councilor for Local Authorities Aldo Salaris, the director of Caritas don Giorgio Cabras, the deputy mayor Luigi Cardia, a representation of the municipal administration. And then parishioners, volunteers and those in charge of the oratory, families and many children.

The structure, financed with regional funds for 1,350,000 for a total value of 1,700,000 (350,000 euros of co-participation by the Diocese of Lanusei), the furnishings with 8 per thousand, was built and equipped with the most modern and innovative tools and is equipped with a gym and playgrounds capable of hosting the various sports, from padel to basketball, from volleyball to soccer; music space, drawing room and much more.

«From now on, the community of Tortolì can count on an important social gathering center which, among other things, will increase the value of culture and sport by incorporating them into the free time available to young people. The new oratory is one of those structures that we consider of fundamental importance because it is able to promote a healthy quality of life. We are proud, as a Region, to have contributed 90% financially to the creation of the Oratory».

Another piece of a great social project in the white citadel of the diocese after the Caritas spaces, the Auditorium, a Bethany home for the homeless. A path that continues, strongly sought and desired, studied and created. It tastes like hope. And above all of that firm will to "waste" economic resources, giving them to young people, because "if I believe in what you are, I also offer you the means to make it happen. You are not a guest of a place, but you are the one who inhabits a place», underlined Bishop Antonello, who added: «Let's not waste the opportunities to think and plan with young people. And we dare: we make dreams, we make visions. With them".

After the ribbon cutting, all the children went wild with the background music playing volleyball, football and basketball. Together.
