The two boys suspected of kidnapping have been released.
Roberto Trecchi, 20, from Olbia, and Michael Brundu (21), from Tempio Pausania, assisted respectively by their trusted lawyers Elio Deidda and Adriano Catte, left the San Daniele prison where they had been transferred on Friday morning after being surprised by carabinieri inside a caravan, in Tortolì , together with a 15-year-old girl whose traces had gone missing in the previous hours.
At the hearing, which was held this morning in the Lanusei prison, the investigating judge, Paola Murru, validated the arrest by ordering the release of the two young men. In the next few hours, the reasons that gave rise to the judge's decision will be known. In addition to the kidnapping, the file prepared by the deputy prosecutor Valentina Vitolo also includes other crimes on which the prosecutor requests maximum confidentiality.
The two boys would have arrived in Ogliastra in search of employment. Their identity was already known to the law enforcement agencies of their territories. From an initial reconstruction of the case, Brundu and Trecchi would have met the minor in Lotzorai. From here they would have moved to Tortolì, illegally occupying the caravan. Having collected the complaint from the girl's family members, who were unable to reach her on the phone, a military platoon (Tortolì, Santa Maria Navarrese, Arzana and Urzulei stations as well as the mobile radio) worked tirelessly for a few hours until the young woman was found, locked up together with the two boys in the caravan where knives and crowbars were also found.
