The "Elegance on Stage with Top Hats and Lace" initiative, organized this afternoon by the Pro Loco tourist association at Parco Europa in Pitz'e Serra, on Via Germania in Quartu, was a huge success. It immersed visitors in the atmosphere of the Victorian era, featuring refined dresses, lace, top hats, curiosities, and games from days gone by. This revamped and expanded edition, compared to last year's first, captivated and engaged countless visitors.

"This second edition will be more lively," explain Pro Loco president Stefano Lai and one of the organizers, Valentina Milia. "We wanted to focus even more on Victorian-era games, such as the egg game, the grace game, played by girls who gracefully throw a hoop with wands, and the ring toss—all of which are certainly not common today. We're truly pleased with the large turnout."

The most entertaining game of all was the egg game, or rather, the spoon tournament: once the playing area was marked out, the balancing challenge began, with each participant running along the track holding an egg perched on a spoon, trying to reach the finish line without dropping it. It was so much fun that even those who weren't wearing costumes but were just coming to the park for a breath of fresh air joined in.

The evening, which wasn't even spoiled by the rain that ultimately didn't arrive despite the dark clouds, concluded with a thematic storytelling experience that immersed us in the Victorian era, exploring curiosities, customs, elegance, and daily life.
