A story of ordinary territorial discontinuity. It comes from social networks: the protagonist is a young man, Carlo Pisanu, 32 years old from Siliqua, who emigrated to London for work. He decided to return to Sardinia to his loved ones, but not by plane: what prevented him from doing so was the price of flights, which increased dramatically throughout Europe.
Yet Carlo Pisanu (Lallo to his friends) is not discouraged and – as Roby Collu reports on social media – publishes a post on Facebook on 7 June 2023: «Given the increase in the price of air flights and the need to improve my tan, this year I decided to go home (from London to Siliqua) by bicycle». Then he added: «I will leave London on Friday 9 June in the morning and arrive in Siliqua on 28 June. I will post photos and videos of the trip so I will keep you updated».

No sooner said than done. On June 9th at 11 he begins his long journey from England to Sardinia. Objective and predictions: 20 days of time, 105 hours by bike. He thus reached the English port of Newhaven, to embark on the ferry that connects Great Britain with France, destination the port of Dieppe. Between 17 and 18 June he takes him very close to Lyon, after having passed through the Chateau de la Roche. And on June 23 Charles arrived at the seaport of Toulon where he embarked for Porto Torres. The arrival was this morning, welcomed by the musical band and by the fans gathered between one stage and another on social networks.

But Lallo hasn't put his bike aside: he will continue to pedal and on Wednesday 28 June, he will arrive in Siliqua. A very long journey, a testimony: Sardinia can and must connect with destinations from all over the world at reasonable prices.
