Two abandoned boats, an outboard motor, fishing nets, tires, fiberglass debris, and large quantities of plastic . This is what was recovered from the coasts and seabed of the La Maddalena Archipelago-National Park during the seventeenth edition of "Arcipelago no Limits," promoted by the "Un arcipelago senza plastica" association in collaboration with the Coast Guard, the Municipality, and the Park Authority.

According to the organizers' findings, nearly three hundred participants contributed to the collection of approximately six tons of waste. Among the materials removed were metal cables, a container of used oil, and a bottle containing gasoline. The operation involved several islands in the archipelago, with operations along the coasts and underwater. Area 11 and La Maddalena Diving Center, diving operators, and divers from the Guardia di Finanza of Cagliari contributed to the seabed cleanup. A significant deployment of resources was deployed: thirty rubber dinghies, three Coast Guard and Guardia di Finanza patrol boats, motorboats provided by tour operators, a ferry, and a hooklift from La Maddalena Ambiente.

The organizers' press release states that the maritime director of Olbia Gianluca D'Agostino, the commander of the La Maddalena Coast Guard Alessandro Cingolani, the commander of the Petty Officer Schools MM Francesco Maffiola, the deputy mayor of La Maddalena Federica Porcu, the councilor Luca Falchi and the councilors Roberto Sirena and Giovanni Delogu were present.

A group of initial-term volunteers from the "Hephaestus" course and other military personnel also joined the initiative. Numerous companies and associations provided boats, personnel, and materials. Before the start of operations, the now customary moment of silence was held in the waters of the Madonnetta in memory of the volunteers of "An Archipelago Without Plastic" who sadly passed away.
