A 59 -year-old from Cagliari , unemployed and with a previous history, was denounced yesterday on the loose by the local carabinieri for carrying weapons and offending objects.

The man in the night, in via Belvedere , became the protagonist of threats , baseball bat in hand, against two 18-year-olds from Quartu Sant'Elena, who were intent on talking in a parking lot.

The man, after the alarm launched by the two young people, was tracked down by the military still on the spot, inside his own Fiat Punto car.

At the subsequent personal search and the car he was found in possession of a wooden bat 54 cm long and a plastic bat with rubber coating, 61 cm long.

The man was unable to provide explanations as to why he wandered around Cagliari with this particular "paraphernalia" in tow. What was found was seized.
