While we await the signature of the agreement with the Province for the new heliport on the land of the agricultural institute, Sorgono obtains testing for the night landings of the helicopter rescue service in the municipal sports field.

A temporary solution while waiting for work to begin on the most modern helipad, a stone's throw from the San Camillo hospital. And at 11.45pm yesterday, the lights of the sports facility welcomed the test landing of the first aircraft, in the presence of the mayor Franco Zedde, councilors and city councilors, citizens and Civil Protection.

Test passed brilliantly for the capital of Mandrolisai, now the only one authorized to fly at night in the area and constantly on the front line for the defense of the right to health.

«We fought so hard to get to the test», says the mayor, «we look with satisfaction at a first important result for the whole area. When emergencies occur, our field will be fully operational, thanks to the Civil Protection and the volunteers who will turn on the headlights, allowing for a safe landing."

We are already looking to the future: «It is important that the Province concludes the bureaucratic process for the helipad as soon as possible. We can't waste any more time", concludes the mayor.
