Unscheduled holidays for students at the nursery and primary schools on Via Vespucci in Quartu, who have been home since yesterday and will return to school only on Thursday the 28th.
It was all the fault of the rats that had started running around the courtyard, even invading the building. Upon the school's report, inspections were arranged, which confirmed the presence of rats.
The rodent control was carried out yesterday, and the inspection was carried out today. The bait will be collected on Wednesday the 27th, and the premises will then be cleaned and ventilated before reopening on Thursday.
The closure order was signed in recent days and also imposes "an absolute ban on the transit and loitering of people and animals in the treatment area, and the ventilation and cleaning of the disinfected premises."
Before Via Vespucci, Via Palestrina was affected. There have already been a couple of interventions here in recent months. The school is located in the immediate vicinity of the former nursery school on Via Boito, which has been abandoned for years and turned into a dunghill, where the only visitors are large rats that roam undisturbed. The premises had been handed over by the municipality to build the new police station.
