"We have to think like a single family" said the archbishop of Sassari Gian Franco Saba referring to voluntary associations in various sectors, social, cultural, environmental and sports. In Sassari, the Consulta del Volontariato has surveyed 160 "but of these only about sixty are active" pointed out the president Franco Dedola.

The world of citizen volunteering will meet from 15 to 17 May for the States General of Volunteering. Objective: to expose needs and difficulties in the presence of the municipal administration, to make the religious associations dialogue with the secular ones.

“It's just the first step in starting a new season of confrontation” said the president of the City Council Maurilio Murru who presented the event together with the mayor Nanni Campus.

On Monday 15th the appointment is in the Sala Langiu of the Local Police Headquarters: from 4 to 6 pm the focus is on volunteering working in the social and health sectors. The city councilor for social services, Gianfranco Meazza, will be present. Tuesday 16 focus on culture, sport and the environment in the presence of councilors Laura Useri and Antonello Sassu. On Wednesday 17 the sums of the first two days will be drawn up and the proposals will be elaborated.
