The murra and the numbers shouted in the square. The ancient popular game is the show to be held tomorrow evening in the square of the former asylum in Tertenia . The tournament is organized by the Pintadora cultural association of Tertenia which has been carrying on the tradition of su pani pintau for years. That bread that brings with it memories, traditions and symbolic values, such as luck, prosperity and a good harvest.

Recently in Brussels, at the Bread Fair dedicated to professional and amateur bakers from all over Europe, the association chaired by Rosalba Deiana was appreciated for its technique and creativity in the process of making bread produced according to ancient knowledge. For some years the association has broadened its horizons to the murra, always keeping faith with the traditions.

Tomorrow, at 21.30, will be the third edition, non-consecutive because it was suspended during the pandemic. Players from different parts of the island are expected. The frame of the event will be pleasing to the stomach and palate with the tasting of typical products. The rules of the game are very simple: two players simultaneously lower their fist by extending one or more fingers and shouting a number from 2 to 10.

If the indicated number corresponds to the sum of the outstretched fingers, a point is scored in favor of whoever guessed correctly. If the sum is guessed by both, the hit is void. Although it is a peaceful game, morra has been banned in the past because it is linked to gambling.
