A message of closeness not only to a team and a football club , but to an entire territory which is experiencing a period of great difficulty and which is grappling with many problems : healthcare, school, transport, depopulation. The kids from the Gigi Riva Football School wanted to launch it, with a visit to Atzara.

Accompanied by managers and parents, the boys left Cagliari, not for a football match, but for a singular initiative , promoted as a sign of closeness to the local football team, to the town and to the entire Mandrolisai. A short ceremony with the exchange of pennants and gifts, few words but a strong message.

The captain of the students Gabriele Orrù: «We are here in the name of Gigi Riva, to bring his values and to reiterate our solidarity with the young people of this area and with a population that we know today lives among many problems». Gigi Riva was welcomed by the mayor Alessandro Corona and the boys of Atzara Calcio. The mayor underlined the importance "that this message of closeness to a community comes from the very young".
